VC League rules: 

1. TIMEOUTS

• Each team is allowed one (1) timeout per game.

2. TIE GAMES

• Games ending in a tie will be decided by a shootout.

3. LEAGUE STANDINGS & TIEBREAKERS

Points Awarded

• Regulation Win: 4 points

• Shootout Win: 3 points

• Shootout Loss: 2 points

• Regulation Loss: 1 point

If two or more teams are tied in the standings, official World Aquatics tiebreaking procedures will be used. These procedures consider the results between the tied teams and, if necessary, goal difference and goals scored.

4. PLAYER PARTICIPATION

• Players may participate in two different age groups.

• As a general preference, players should not participate in two different divisions within the same age group.

Suggestions if matched up against a less experienced team

1. Stop the counter attack and set up 4 pass minimum 

2. Stop the counter attack and run the clock down to five seconds before attempting to shoot 

3. Pass the ball around from one to five and into center for a shot 

4. Pass the ball around from one to 5 and 5 to 1 and then into center

5. Everybody on your roster must score only once. Sometimes it takes a long time to get some players a goal. 

6. Score on man up situation only. So must earn the ejection 

7. Pass offhand only 

8. Shoot offhand only 

9. Play light defense, hand up no press given the team a chance to score and your goalie a chance to block. 

10. Play Man down offense, Sub one before the counter attack respectfully.

11.  No slaughter rule - If scores run up over 10 we leave it at a 10 point difference on the scoreboard.
